TPACT PROJECTS
Community Cleanup Day's
TPACT collaborates bi-annually with Taos Pueblo Tribal Government to gather alcohol-related data, specific to our Taos Pueblo community. With the data collected we can start answering a lot of questions, do comparisons, and make educated decisions that will have the most impact on our Taos Pueblo community when it comes to alcohol use.
Light Taos Pueblo Up Purple
During National Recovery Month in September, TPACT has started an initiative to "Light Taos Pueblo Up Purple." The purpose of this is to celebrate those who have had success in their recovery, give strength to those who are struggling, and remember those we have lost to alcohol and substance use disorder. We give out purple light bulbs to community members and ask them to place the light bulbs on their front porches/offices/etc. as a visible statement of support. We end the month with a Community Recovery Vigil that takes place within our Village at the San Geronimo Church which is alight with purple spotlights. This is an initiative to show all our tribal members that people who are in recovery are loved and supported by their community and that we are choosing empowerment over shame. #EndTheStigma
Taos Pueblo Youth Coalition
Taos Pueblo Youth Coalition = FUN!
The Taos Pueblo Youth Coalition is a safe, accessible place for young people who choose to meet and socialize in an informal setting. At our youth coalition meetings we speak on topics that matter to youth and choose the type of events and community outreach that they want to do. Active participants get to travel to youth conferences in locations such as Washington DC, Orlando, and many more activities around Taos.

Youth Coalition Meetings take place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 4 PM-5 PM via Zoom. Fill out the contact form below for the Zoom link.
Taos Pueblo Community Events
TPACT tries to encourage a variety of different community events and family friendly activities. From our Run for Change - On the Trail to Sobriety, the Holiday Gift Distribution during the Christmas season, Halloween Trunk or Treats, Easter Egg Hunts, the Charles N. Romero Snowsports Program, and many others. We love getting involved in the community and seeing the smiling faces of our community members when they engage in healthy events and activities.
