Prom Night Saturation Patrol

More than 90% of teens reported that their friends would more than likely be drinking on prom night and 53% of teens admitted to drinking four or more alcoholic beverages during or after the prom.  Our goal is simple, to try and prevent as many people from drinking and driving on prom night and perception of risk is a proven tool that has been shown to work.  This saturation patrol will hopefully have them think twice before they drink at prom but more importantly think twice before they drink and drive.

On Taos High School's Prom Night, April 30, 2022, ALL Law Enforcement Agencies will be conducting a Saturation Patrol.  Unlike Checkpoints, Saturation Patrols LOOK for impaired-driving behaviors such as reckless and/or aggressive driving in MULTIPLE locations and areas.
